Steps

Draw the Neckline

Start by drawing a super duper neck curve or a straight line where the collar will go. This is the part that goes on top of the shirt.

Outline the Collar Shape

Think about the shape of the collar you want to draw. Okay, let’s draw a super simple pointed collar! Okay, so let’s start at the tippy top of the neckline, and draw two lines that are a little bit slanted, just like a mirror image of each other. These lines should start up high on your shoulders and go slanty towards the middle of your neckline.

Connect the Lines

In the middle of the fancy collar, draw a curvy line to join the slanty lines together. This will be the bottom part of the collar, like the foundation!

Draw the Collar Points

From the ends of the curvy line, draw two little lines going up and out. These lines will make the collar shape.

Complete the Collar Shape

Draw two more lines that go slanty to connect the ends of the other lines to the tippy top of the neckline. Yay! Now we’re all done with the outside part of the collar!

Add Inner Lines

To make the collar look super cool, draw two extra lines inside the collar lines. These lines should be a little wiggly to match the shape of the collar.

Draw the Collar Stand (Optional)

If you want to make your shirt extra fancy, you can add a collar stand! Just draw two little lines going down from the collar points. Now, let’s draw a line that goes straight across, just like the neckline.

Refine and Adjust

Hey there! Let’s check out your collar shape, okay? Make sure to change the sizes and shapes until it looks just right! You can use a special tool called a rubber to make any extra lines or mistakes disappear!

Inking (Optional)

If you want to make your drawing super clear, you can use a special pen to go over the pencil lines. This will make your drawing look super fancy!

Coloring (Optional)

If you want to, you can make your drawing super colourful by using markers, coloured pencils, or cool digital colouring tools. It’s totally up to you!
