How to draw a tree

Drawing a tree is super fun! It helps you feel closer to nature and lets you show off your awesome art skills. Hey there! I’m gonna show you how to draw a super duper easy tree. Let’s get started! Step 1: Draw a straight line standing up. This will be the trunk of our tree. Woohoo! Step 2: Now, let’s draw some curvy lines coming out from the top of the trunk. These will be the branches. Make them all wiggly and fun! Step 3: Time to add some leaves! Draw little ovals or circles

Materials you’ll need:

Steps

Draw the trunk

Can you please draw the trunk? It will be so much fun!

Okay, let’s begin by drawing a super straight line right in the middle of our paper! This line will be the trunk of the tree, like the big strong part in the middle!
You can make the trunk super duper thick at the bottom and then it gets skinnier and skinnier as it goes up!
Yay! Let’s add branches to our tree! It’s going to be so much fun!

Add branches

From the tippity-top of the trunk, let’s draw some super-duper curved lines that go all over the place! Wheee! These lines show the big branches of the tree.

Draw the Leaves:

Let’s draw some leaves!

At the tippy tops of the branches, let’s draw teeny tiny shapes that look all wiggly and not too perfect to show the leaves. These shapes can be kinda round and pointy.
You can use a “V” shape to make super duper easy leaves! Can you please draw a little slanty line from the end of the branch, and then two more slanty lines that meet at the bottom to make a ‘V’?
Let’s make things super fun and exciting by adding texture and depth! Yay!

Create Texture and Depth:

To make the tree look super duper real and cool, draw teeny tiny lines inside the leaves to show the veins or lines in the leafy part. It’ll make it look even more awesome!
Make the leaves different sizes to make it look all natural and cool!
Let’s colour the tree! It’s totally up to you if you want to do it or not.

Color the Tree (Optional):

If you want, you can make your tree super colourful! Let’s use pretty green colours for the leaves and nice brown colours for the trunk and branches!
Ooh, how about using lots of different shades of green to make the plants look super duper deep and cool?
